Surprisingly comfortable and padded. Goes great with the counter height table and scoot right underneath, so nothing to walk around if you're dealing with a small space where every inch matters.
Took us about an hour to put 4 stools together. All of the hardware and allen wrench were included so it was just assembling the legs and support bars,
