Helpful tips to ensure a smooth delivery
Delivery & Basic Hookup Service
Thank you for choosing Sherman's for your delivery needs. You will receive a notification via text or email the day before your delivery to confirm your order’s details. On the day of your delivery, you’ll receive a text and email when your order has left our distribution center and once again when you are the next delivery stop. You can track your status and monitor the progress of the truck on our delivery page.
For the safety of our employees and the protection of your new product(s), we require a clear path to the entryway and within the home. Outside needs to be free of ice, snow, etc. and inside needs to be free of rugs and other tripping hazards. We deliver in 26' box trucks that are 13'6" tall and we will need sufficient clearance to get to your home. If you feel those requirements cannot be met, let us know immediately at 309-691-4100 so we can arrange for a smaller truck.

Installation Requirements by Appliance
Refrigerators
Requirements
Water connection kit (must be PEX tubing, no copper or plastic lines)
110V-grounded, 3-prong electrical outlet
Water valve (shutoff) within 6 ft. of the hookup site
If you require a door swing reversal (usually from right hinge to left hinge) you must select the option in cart prior to submitting your order. There is a substantial fee to reverse the door after delivery.

Measure the path of delivery and installation area to make sure the new refrigerator will fit perfectly
Verify your current electrical and water connections
Unplug and empty out your old refrigerator

Requirements
New electrical cord (3 prong or 4 prong)
240V electric outlet within 4 ft. of the hookup site
To Prepare for your Delivery:
Measure the path of delivery and installation area to make sure the new range will fit perfectly
Verify the outlet type (must match the approved types shown above)
Unplug and empty out your old range

The rough cabinet opening must be at least 24" W X 24" D X 34–1/2" H

Verify your current electrical and water connections
Unplug and empty your old dishwasher

Requirements
Hardwiring will not be done. A dedicated 110V electric outlet must be directly above the unit
Bottom of upper cabinet must be at least 30" from cooking surface below
Furniture Delivery
How to measure for Delivery:
Once you've selected your new furniture, it is important to be sure that it can be delivered through all entryways, elevators and stairways. Follow these simple steps to help ensure an efficient delivery:
1. Measure the height and width of your entryway, including elevator doors and interiors.
2. Use the furniture measurements to determine whether the piece can go straight through the entryway, at an angle, or on-end.
3. Make sure that there is a clear and unobstructed path in front of and beyond each doorway. Make note of any fixtures, decorative moldings, interior walls, ceiling heights, stairwells and banisters that may pose an obstacle once furniture is inside.
Furniture can be brought straight in if:
The back height or depth of the piece is less than the width of each doorway, entryway, hallway or staircase.
All pathways, stairwells and hallways, including any turns, are unobstructed or wide enough for the piece.
Furniture can be brought in at an angle if:
The depth of the piece is less than the width of the doorway and the amount of unobstructed clearance for all doorways, stairways and hallways is adequate to allow for the piece to clear.
Furniture can be brought in on-end if:
There are obstructions on either side of the any doorway that prevent it from being brought straight in.
The width of the piece will clear the height of the doorway when the piece is on end.
The diagonal depth will clear the width of the doorway.
Once inside, the piece will clear all widths and ceiling heights of all hallways and stairways, including turns.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can my delivery team install using liquid propane hookups?
Yes; but you must have previously indicated the need for a LP conversion and paid the service fee.
Will the delivery team install a unitized (all-in-one) washer dryer?
Yes. Please be sure to measure the delivery path and installation area beforehand to ensure your new unitized washer and dryer will fit.
Will the delivery team install my front-load washer and dryer stacked to save space?
Yes; be sure to indicate you require stacking at the time of sale, and purchase the required stacking kit.
At delivery time, what if my new appliance is damaged or not working correctly?
We will test the operation of your new appliance prior to leaving your home. If you notice any damage or if the appliance is not working properly, our delivery team will connect you with our customer service department to find a resolution before we leave.

Delivery Day
Due to the complicated nature of some of our products and the unique challenges of every home, we are unable to provide time windows. You'll be able to track your order anytime on our delivery page.
It is not possible to request a stop number due to our "Next Day" service and the large geographic area which we cover. Also, trucks are loaded in the order of their stops, preventing schedule changes the day of.
Someone over the age of 18 must be home to accept the delivery of your new appliance.
