Description
moreOriginally designed in 1954 by Dan Johnson, the Sol y Luna collection is crafted from cast aluminum components that are filed and ground to a smooth surface. Metal artisans weld the components together and then grind, buff, and polish every join to “a smooth, jewellike finish.” To prepare Sol y Luna for powder coating, every frame is pretreated with a five-step application that ensures superior paint adhesion and exceptional cleanliness. Finally, an Ultra Fuse powder coat finish is applied by hand with an electrostatic technique that creates a complete and uniform coating on all areas of the frame.

Use a soft bristle brush and a solution of mild detergent and water to clean pieces thoroughly. Rinse with clear water, and dry. For maximum protection against harmful ultraviolet exposure and salt air apply a fine, clear automobile wax to all metal frames. For best protection, we recommend performing this regimen 2 or 3 times per year
