See the little door? You have to open it, unscrew the cap, and drain the water into a bucket. The frequency depends upon how often/much you wash. The old machines just dumped water into the drain. Progress. * sigh*

We bought this washer to replace our 12-year-old LG. Our dryer died so we figured we'd start fresh. This washer is fabulous. Easy to use, efficient and gets the stains out. Price was right and customer service was excellent.
